AFTER CARE

INSTRUCTIONS

tIPS & tRICKS

  • You know your body best, and listen to yourself first. My advice is from my personal experience.

  • I prefer:
Dr. Bronners or Dial for soaps
Aveeno, Lubriderm, or Purrell for lotions

Avoid lotion in tubs, unless you use a clean tool to get it out.

  • Things like hot tubs, sun burns, dog tongues, sweaty friends are all important to avoid.

If any of these things happen, make sure to clean your tattoo immediately to avoid infection.

TYPES OF AFTER CARE

TRADITIONAL

AFTER CARE

STEP 1

Leave the absorbent pad and wrap on for 4-6 hours after you get your tattoo. If it is completed later in the day, you can leave it on overnight.

STEP 2

Remove the wrap and pad. The best place to do this is in the shower. Make sure to wash it off completely using a simple soap and clean hands.

STEP 3

After it is clean, be sure to either let it air dry or use a paper towel. After it is dry, you are able to apply tegaderm if provided, or just use lotion as provided.

StEP 4

Keep it clean & not irritated. Use lotion when needed (if it becomes dry or itchy)

SECOND SKIN

AFTER CARE

STEP 1

Leave on your tegaderm for 3-4 days. However, if your skin gets itchy or red before, remove it earlier.

STEP 2

The easiest place to remove tegaderm is in the shower. Peel it down your skin, instead of away from your skin. This will help protect your tattoo (and hurt less!). After, clean your tattoo with simple soap.

STEP 3

After it is clean, be sure to either let it air dry or use a paper towel. After it is dry, you are able to apply new tegaderm if desired or just use lotion as provided.

StEP 4

Keep it clean & not irritated. Use lotion when needed (if it becomes dry or itchy)
